Job summary

RGS Guildford is seeking a Cover Supervisor to support pupils' learning and wellbeing by providing high-quality classroom supervision in the absence of teaching staff. The role focuses on maintaining a positive, engaging environment and ensuring continuity of learning.

This permanent part-time position runs 8am to 4pm three days a week during term time, with a 0.6FTE workload. You will deliver pre-prepared activities, manage behaviour, and contribute to the wider life of the school.

Qualifications

• Supervision of classes during short-term absence of teaching staff.
• Maintain a positive and purposeful learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes during the absence of the regular teacher.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and learning activities.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policy.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development.
• Support educational visits and school events.
• Contribute to the ethos and reputation of RGS Guildford Prep School.
