Job summary

Budmouth Academy Weymouth is seeking a Cover Supervisor to supervise lessons during short-term or unforeseen absences, supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will be confident in managing behavioural issues, creating a positive classroom environment and covering a wide range of subjects.

The role runs 30 hours per week, term-time only plus inset days, 8.30am – 3pm, with a salary of £19,856 and an ASAP start.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS disclosure required.
• Experience engaging with students in classroom setting desirable.
• Comfortable managing behavioural issues and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students and keep them engaged in classwork.
• Assist students with tasks as needed.
• Create a safe, positive, supportive classroom environment.
• Promote good behaviour and handle conflicts per school policy.
• Cover lessons across various subjects when the teacher is absent.
• Be flexible, reliable and resourceful with colleagues and students.
