Job summary

Barracudas Activity Day Camps in the United Kingdom is seeking an Activity Leader to support children across camp sessions. The role involves preparing safe, inviting spaces, following timetables, and helping deliver a variety of activities with enthusiasm.

You will work with a wider team, ensure safeguarding and welfare, complete annual training and DBS checks, and adapt to different days off and weekly schedules as needed. A strong, caring, and proactive approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience or qualifications working with children.
• Be aged 18 or over by the start date of your contract.
• Be eligible to work in the UK.
• Provide satisfactory professional/academic references.
• Be enthusiastic, caring and organised with excellent communication skills.
• Be able to adapt to effectively deal with unpredictable challenges within a childcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup and maintain a base room inviting for children.
• Follow policies and procedures to ensure children are safe and have fun.
• Follow the activity timetable to deliver sessions.
• Work with wider staff team to deliver activities.
• Ensure children's welfare and safeguarding throughout the day.
• Attend training and induction ahead of first camp.
• Attend end-of-camp wrap-up and safety checks.
