Job summary

Cedar Lodge Care Home in Taunton is seeking an Activities Assistant to enrich daily life for residents with complex needs. You will plan and deliver engaging, person-centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction.

Working with the team, you will tailor activities to individual interests and care needs, build strong relationships with residents, and create a calm, supportive environment where everyone feels valued and included.

Qualifications

• A creative, organised and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, person centred activities.
• A genuine interest in supporting individuals with complex needs.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in activities or a similar role is beneficial; transferable skills from hospitality, events, childcare or community work are encouraged to apply.
