Job description

Job Title: Engagement Worker

Location: MK40 2LL, Bedford

Salary: £24,500

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday, with hours varying between 08:00 - 16:00, 09:00 - 17:00, and 12:00 - 20:00 on a rota basis. May include working bank holidays if scheduled.

About the role

We are seeking an Engagement Worker for our residential service in Bedford, a 19-bed facility near Bedford Town Centre, providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals working towards greater independence. Responsibilities include providing social contact, supporting safety, health, security, tenancy sustainment, and financial independence, as well as assisting residents in acquiring skills for community integration.

The role is diverse; daily tasks vary based on service and resident needs, including running activities, conducting support sessions, arranging external and in-house activities, and assisting with appointments.
