Job summary

Beechville, Bolton, run by MHA, is seeking an Activities Co-ordinator to enhance wellbeing and life quality for residents through a varied activities programme. You will design, deliver and review activities that meet social, physical and emotional needs, working with families, volunteers and local groups to keep residents engaged and connected.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for improving older people's wellbeing.
• Ability to design and deliver engaging activities.
• Strong organisational skills and multitasking ability.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Willingness to use IT tools to support residents.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan and deliver a programme of activities based on residents' social needs.
• Promote residents' wellbeing through inclusive activities.
• Support residents in using IT options to stay connected with family and friends.
• Liaise with key workers, relatives, volunteers and community organisations to coordinate events.
• Keep accurate records of activities, attendance and outcomes to support care plans.
• Review and adapt activities regularly to meet changing needs.
• Support colleagues and contribute to induction of new staff where appropriate.
• Ensure safe use and maintenance of activity resources and work within budget.
• Follow safeguarding, infection control and health & safety policies at all times.
• Attend training and development sessions, including travel to other MHA locations.
