Job summary

Hesketh Park Lodge Care Home in Southport, Merseyside, is seeking an Activities Coordinator to lead engaging, person-centred activities that promote wellbeing and social interaction for residents.

You will plan a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities tailored to individual interests and care needs, build relationships with residents and work as part of the care team to create a warm, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• A creative, organised and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities.
• A genuine interest in supporting older people.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in activities or a similar role is beneficial, however candidates with transferable skills from roles such as hospitality, events, childcare or community work are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one to one activities, tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs.
• Build strong relationships, enabling a clear understanding of preferences and supporting inclusive participation for all individuals, including those living with dementia.
• Work as part of the wider team to create a positive and stimulating environment for residents.
