About This Role
  • Hours of work: 15
  • Working pattern: Monday to Friday - mornings
  • Term weeks: 38 + 1 weeks school closure, minimum paid weeks of 44.6 per academic year

Stramongate School are seeking to appoint an Education Welfare Officer (EWO). This is a key post within our school, ensuring that all pupils with attendance, welfare, and engagement issues, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND, including Social Emotional and Mental Health difficulties), receive the support they need and achieve the outcomes they deserve.

The Successful Candidate Will
  • Work with the SENCO supporting initiatives to promote pupil engagement and wellbeing across the school.
  • Provide support to pupils experiencing social, emotional, or behavioural changes.
  • Manage own Early Help casework.
  • Work closely with staff, families, and external agencies to ensure holistic support.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of wellbeing strategies, including safeguarding processes.
