Job Title: Engagement Volunteer & Participation Coordinator

Reference: 8198 | Contract: Permanent | Hours: 37 per week | Salary: £36,124 - £37,938 per annum | Grade: I | Location: Countywide

Job Summary

Do you have the skills to drive change, manage strategic and operational development, and communicate effectively across various settings? Are you confident in engaging with children, presenting, and building community relationships? If so, this role might be for you.

Role Responsibilities

1. Coordinate countywide recruitment, training, management, and support of Norfolk Youth Justice Service (NYJS) volunteers.
2. Promote volunteering to ensure a representative, competent, and child-focused workforce, including bi-annual recruitment to meet statutory responsibilities.
3. Collaborate with managers and practitioners to ensure consistent recruitment, training, and deployment processes aligned with Youth Justice Board standards.
4. Implement the NYJS Participation Strategy, ensuring service delivery reflects children's views and is child-led, embedding participation in daily practice and strategic planning.
5. Report to the Senior Leadership Team and Norfolk Youth Justice Management Board.
6. Travel to various office locations and community venues across the county.
7. Work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends.
