We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, ambitious and inspirational colleague to join our established Kingsmead School.

This post is integral to our school and plays an important role in enhancing the opportunities for young people. This post would suit a passionate and motivated colleague who is experienced in working successfully with children with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs to ensure their success.

  • Working knowledge of a range of strategies to develop the behavioural, emotional and social skills of children and young people ( essential)
  • Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures, with particular reference to more vulnerable pupils
  • Knowledge of restorative practices
Experience
  • Successful interventions with children exhibiting challenging behaviour ( essential)
  • Working with a range of agencies to provide support for young people and of attending multi-agency meetings ( essential)
  • Completing individual pupil & other appropriate risk assessments
Experience/Knowledge
  • Track record of building effective relationships with pupils, parents/carers to bring about positive change
