We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join the Group Strategy and Planning Team in the role of the Engagement Manager.

As the Engagement Manager you will have the opportunity to drive strategic initiatives focused on delivering maximum value for the Group shareholder. You will lead development and execution of Group's strategic initiatives and lead and perform analysis based on both internal and external data to drive actionable insights for the Group.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead strategic projects or Group-wide initiatives assessing structural long term opportunities for HSBC leveraging Group capabilities
  • Work with Associates / Analyst and alongside Directors (as required) on strategic reviews and to improve quality of strategic planning, performance management, accountability and governance
  • Ensure proper and timely consideration of market, industry and competitor analysis (including benchmarking) to support planning and performance management activities
  • Manage the recruitment process for Group Strategy team
  • Drive our relationships with data providers, e.g. Refinitiv, McKinsey, etc

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
  • Experience of working within a Strategy role in a Consultancy or Corporate function.
  • Managerial & project manager experience, with a strong understanding on Excel Modelling to be able to provide insights and present.
  • Quantitative and analytical skillset with an ability to work with complex data is essential.
  • Knowledge of using external sources such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ is Desirable.
  • Ability to work with individuals at different levels of seniority, with the ability to build relationships by communicating effectively with stakeholder/customers

The base location for this role is London with a hybrid working pattern.
