Honeycomb Jobs Ltd. is recruiting an Enforcement Officer in Newtownabbey to protect the local environment and animal welfare. You will investigate complaints, enforce legislation, and engage with the public through enforcement, education and community outreach.

The role covers patrols, issuing penalties, handling reports, and coordinating with legal teams for prosecutions. A 37-hour week and an hourly rate apply in a large public sector context.

Qualificações

• GCSEs (A–C) including English and Maths are required.

Responsabilidades

• Enforce environmental legislation related to littering, fly-tipping, dog fouling, graffiti and fly-posting.
• Investigate complaints and issue fixed penalties or recommend legal action.
• Carry out patrols to detect, prevent and address environmental offences.
• Enforce dog control legislation, investigating unlicensed dogs, straying and dog attacks.
• Respond to out-of-hours incidents involving stray dogs, dog attacks and livestock worrying.
• Support animal welfare investigations and inspections of dog breeding establishments.
• Conduct inspections and enforce smoke-free legislation in premises.
• Prepare and serve statutory notices, gather evidence and compile reports for prosecution.
