Job description

Job Title: Enforcement Officer (Licensing and Planning)

We are seeking to appoint an Enforcement Officer (Licensing and Planning) within the Chief Executive’s directorate. The main responsibilities include:

  1. Enforcing planning regulations and investigating breaches of planning permissions.
  2. Investigating complaints and conducting spot checks.
  3. Preparing reports based on findings and issuing notifications to relevant parties when necessary.
  4. Ensuring that premises and businesses in the Ribble Valley comply with the Licensing Act 2003.

Candidates should be proficient in IT, have a methodical and conscientious approach, and possess strong communication skills for engaging with the public both in person and in writing. A full driving license and access to a vehicle are required.
