Job summary

CBRE is seeking an energy and sustainability specialist to manage and support the implementation of initiatives on a Life Sciences Campus within a CBRE Global Enterprise client account. Develop energy management and sustainability strategies for clients' real estate portfolios and ensure that global energy and sustainability standards are applied throughout the managed properties.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering (electrical, mechanical, industrial, civil) or equivalent work experience
• Strong proven experience with energy conservation, energy management, performance contracting or energy engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) highly desired
• Sustainability Accreditation (e.g., LEED, or WELL) preferred
• Carbon footprint reporting experience or training preferred. Training and accreditation part of development and performance management requirements
• Experience with Tableau Prep Conductor or Power Query, Tableau Desktop or Microsoft PowerBI, Programming experience with Python, Experience with Microsoft Teams and Sharepoint a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop energy management and sustainability strategy for portfolios.
• Ensure global energy standards applied across properties.
• Implement programs to meet savings targets on schedule.
• Manage energy benchmarking and assessment.
• Analyze energy and water use to identify savings.
• Lead energy projects and building upgrades to reduce consumption.
• Establish and monitor utilities budgets.
• Oversee bill payment and data management.
• Forecast utility expenses for portfolio.
• Develop and evaluate financial viability of projects.
• Report metrics on energy and sustainability activities.
• Communicate plans to staff via presentations.
• Support water saving and recycling programs.
• Assist new business Pursuits through relationships and walkthroughs.
• Perform energy analysis and efficiency calculations.
• Possess strong Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint skills.
• Strong multi-tasking and project management abilities.
• Advanced knowledge of sustainability and energy in built environment.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical systems and controls.
• Other duties as assigned.
