Job description

Transform the Future of Energy with Equity Energies
Hybrid Working

At Equity Energies, we're changing the way organisations approach energy strategy.

Our mission is simple: to create energy equity by turning ambition into action, delivering reliable energy solutions that generate environmental, societal and commercial value.

For more than 20 years, we've been at the forefront of the energy transition, helping businesses improve efficiency, reduce waste and adopt smarter, more sustainable energy solutions. Our award-winning team is passionate about making a genuine impact, supporting clients to achieve their energy goals through innovative and practical solutions.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for an ambitious Energy Solutions Analyst to join our team and help shape the future of energy for some of the UK's largest energy users.

The Role

As an Energy Solutions Analyst, you'll play a key role in designing, evaluating and implementing integrated energy solutions for large commercial and industrial customers.

You'll combine technical expertise with commercial insight to develop renewable energy strategies involving onsite generation, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and energy supply contracts.

Working closely with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders, you'll provide data-driven recommendations that deliver measurable value and support the transition to a lower-carbon future.

This is an exciting opportunity for an analytical and solutions-focused professional who enjoys tackling complex challenges and influencing strategic energy decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver insight-led recommendations on renewable energy solutions through detailed analysis of energy volumes, consumption profiles, supply contracts and market trends.
  • Identify and model optimisation opportunities across energy supply contracts, onsite generation assets and battery storage solutions.
  • Analyse and explain key energy cost drivers, including wholesale electricity and gas pricing, DUoS, TNUoS, time-of-use tariffs and other charging mechanisms.
  • Work collaboratively with Demand Flexibility (VTP) partners to develop robust client business cases and challenge assumptions where appropriate.
  • Partner with Procurement and Risk Management teams to ensure implemented supply contracts align with recommended solution designs.
  • Monitor actual asset and contract performance against forecast models, investigating and explaining variances clearly and accurately.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, technology partners and industry stakeholders to stay ahead of market developments.
  • Support commercial, sales and leadership teams with the development of innovative customer propositions and new service offerings.
  • Contribute to the development of new modelling methodologies, standards and analytical tools to enhance organisational capability.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience within energy analysis, energy consultancy or a similar analytical role supporting large energy users.
  • Strong understanding of energy pricing structures, cost drivers and optimisation strategies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present clear recommendations.
  • Strong stakeholder management, consulting and communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets and financial models.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and projects.
  • Commercial awareness with a proactive and solutions-driven mindset.
  • Experience modelling renewable energy technologies, including solar PV and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
  • Knowledge of energy procurement, demand flexibility programmes or energy risk management.
  • Experience developing business cases and evaluating energy investment opportunities.
Why Join Equity Energies?

At Equity Energies, you'll be part of a business that is helping organisations navigate the energy transition and unlock greater value from their energy strategies.

You'll work alongside industry experts on high-impact projects, gain exposure to innovative technologies and market-leading solutions, and have the opportunity to influence how businesses consume, manage and generate energy.
