Job description

Our Client is a leading consultancy specialising in energy management, technical engineering solutions, and project delivery. As part of a larger group of companies that focus heavily within the retail sector, the business works directly with end users to manage energy usage and spend, reducing costs and embracing renewable technologies to provide leaner, greener buildings and a roadmap to decarbonisation.

This is an exciting opportunity to join their growing Energy Services Team in a varied role offering long-term development and client exposure.

The Role:

You'll play a key part in delivering energy management and administration services to major commercial and retail clients. Working within a collaborative team, you will support the coordination of new utility connections, monitor energy usage, produce reports, and act as the link between suppliers, internal teams, and client sites.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, building relationships, and working in a fast-paced environment. You don't need to know everything about energy or utilities; however, a positive mindset, strong communication skills, and high levels of organisation are important characteristics to demonstrate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the delivery of energy and utilities management services to a client portfolio
  • Managing and maintaining databases and programme records
  • Assisting with energy metering, new supply connections, disconnections, and supplier changes
  • Analysing energy usage and producing regular reports for clients
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure service delivery in line with contract requirements
  • Handling inbound queries from stores and suppliers, and resolving issues efficiently
  • Supporting internal teams with reporting, scheduling, and site communications
Essential experience:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong administrative and organisational abilities
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in a client-facing or service-based role
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Highly desirable experience:
  • Experience in the energy or utilities sector
  • Knowledge of energy data analysis, carbon reporting, or IPMVP
  • Experience working with suppliers or coordinating multiple stakeholders
  • Familiarity with managing databases or asset information systems
