BCL Legal is delighted to partner with a leading national law firm in the search for an Associate or Senior Associate Solicitor to join its highly regarded Renewable Energy and Projects team in Birmingham. The Role

As a Clean/Renewable Energy Solicitor, you will:

1. Work on high-profile clean energy projects, including power purchase agreements, battery optimisation contracts, and low carbon support regimes.
2. Advise on project developments, acquisitions, disposals, and Ofgem licensing.
3. Be part of a forward-thinking team, collaborating with renowned Partners and legal experts across multiple offices.
4. Have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies such as solar PV, wind, hydrogen, EV infrastructure, and energy-from-waste projects.
5. Engage in business development, building lasting relationships with clients in the clean energy sector.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. 4-7 years PQE, with at least 4 years of experience in commercial, projects, or regulatory work within the energy sector.
2. Strong knowledge of clean energy technologies and contracts, such as battery storage, biogas, and district heating (an advantage).
3. A passion for clean and green energy, with a desire to further your career in this growing field.
4. Excellent communication and client management skills.
