Job summary

Beyond2050, a growth-focused agency, seeks an Associate Consultant to support client campaigns and deliver policy and communications projects. You will join busy account teams, learning from leaders, with exposure to multiple clients and projects.

You will have begun your professional journey in politics, policy, or media and share a strong interest in energy and climate policy. Flexible hybrid work is offered with a London office location.

Qualifications

• Some previous professional experience, ideally in a political, policy, media or communications setting, is essential. This can have been gained through an internship or period of work experience.
• A strong interest in UK politics, and a good understanding of the UK media environment.
• A keen attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills, enabling you to work at pace and manage several competing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately with a range of stakeholders and clients.
• Proficiency in software such as Canva and Mailchimp.
• Committed to developing your skills as part of a wider supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality internal and external material, often under tight deadlines and with competing priorities.
• Monitor political announcements and parliamentary activity, producing high-quality briefings and reports for clients.
• Support political engagement programmes, including creating stakeholder maps, contacting relevant offices and handling logistical arrangements.
• Develop biographical and policy briefings including conducting research to inform these documents.
• Support event management, including liaising with MPs’ offices, coordinating with the parliamentary events team and third-party suppliers as well as handling logistics.
• Contribute to Beyond2050’s corporate activity, including LinkedIn activity, website updates and client events.
• Build relationships with clients and wider stakeholders.
