About the Role:

Energy Optimisation Sales Associate

This is an excellent opportunity to join the energy optimisation team at OSTTRA as we grow by developing our products and expanding our customer base. Our innovative energy products help customers manage and reduce their immediate and future counterparty credit risk and margin requirements, adding real value to their businesses.

The successful candidate will join a new and growing business and help shape our product, services and growth. Primarily responsible for developing new relationships and optimisation sales within the energy sector, the candidate will collaborate across the organisation with Technology, Product, Sales and Legal teams whilst also being able to work autonomously.

The Energy Optimisation Sales Associate should be results orientated and able to communicate effectively, clearly explaining our product suite and value proposition to clients whilst also understanding customer and market needs and challenges to help us develop a better product.

Responsibilities

  • Build and develop a sales pipeline across the European gas and power markets, establishing new contacts and relationships and identifying opportunities with new and existing clients
  • Develop a structured sales approach with tracking, measurement and actions
  • Manage and drive all aspects of the sales lifecycle from prospect to participant, including ensuring efficient onboarding, technical connectivity, legal documentation etc.
  • Provide input into product development and build, liaising with and helping technical and product teams
  • Analysis of client data and trends to uncover insights and opportunities
  • Create and improve customer sales and product marketing material

Requirements

  • University degree or comparable education
  • Experience working in, and knowledge of, European gas and power markets. This could be from an exchange, technology or service vendor, market participant or another avenue
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience in an energy sales environment, ideally with a track record of successful outcomes
  • Motivated team player with the ability to work autonomously and across teams and tasks to get the job done
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to understand and articulate complex subject matter in English
