We are looking for an Energy Manager to plan, regulate and monitor the energy use at the RSC and to improve efficiency by evaluating energy use and putting in place new policies and changes where needed, which supports the organisational strategy.

Reporting to the Environmental Manager, key areas of responsibility include (please see the full job description and person specification for the comprehensive list):

  • To provide technical support and working closelywith the estates team on day-to-day energy management and ensure optimisation of systems.
  • To review, monitor and manage heating and cooling practises across the estate.
  • To focus on performance and to manage energy effectively within the organisation.
  • To identify, develop and implement new energy related opportunities and actions.
  • To ensure compliance with any relevant legislation, regulations and stay up to date with energy management trends.
  • To engage with staff inenergy management practice and conservation.

To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you have the following knowledge and experience:

  • Qualification in building energy management, building services, a HND/degree in mechanical engineering and/or building technologist.
  • Significant experience in energy management or building HVAC and systems maintenance.
  • Experience managing fault resolution and recommissioning process.
  • A comprehensive understanding of building performance evaluation.
  • Core competencies in building energy management in a large organisation.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Stratford upon Avon.

You will be working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, although occasional weekend and evening work will be required. The RSC offers a flexible working policy within the Estates team, typically in the office 2/3 days a week.
