Job Description:

The role holder will be responsible for reviewing and promoting vessel energy efficiency, devising solutions to reduce energy usage across the managed fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support & Assistance to the Energy Management & Data Lead as required.
  2. Deputise for the Energy Management & Data Lead during periods of vacation or absence.
  3. Monitor daily submissions of vessel data to Eco Insights container and correct as necessary.
  4. Prepare client reports as directed by Energy Management & Data Lead.
  5. Review the Quarterly Shipboard Energy meeting minutes (SFTEC 30) and respond to vessels within the designated timeframe.
  6. Promote energy awareness throughout the fleet, encouraging all employees to minimize energy usage.
  7. Participate as an NM Energy Committee Member.
  8. Work with Fleet Groups to produce, review, and update Performance Dashboards.
  9. Participate in the EEXI / CII Project Group.
  10. Conduct Energy Management Familiarisation for new employees and Senior Officers during induction.
  11. Enroll vessels into ESI (Environmental Ship Index) to enable reduced port costs.
  12. Prepare and submit SFENV 9 EU – CO2 Emissions Monitoring Plan and Emissions Reports for qualifying voyages.
  13. Prepare SEEMP Part II and submit for Confirmation of Compliance, review ship-reported data, and submit aggregated annual reports for IMO DCS through Lloyds CO2 verifier.
  14. Assist with projects within the Operations team as required.
  15. Perform other responsibilities as defined by line management.
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
  • Completed Merchant Navy cadetship/Junior Engineer Officer experience.
  • HND or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Previous seagoing experience.
  • Technical background experience.
  • Experience analyzing complex data with a solutions-driven mindset.
  • Ability to work to targets and deadlines.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office packages.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
