Job summary

The Green Recruitment Company is seeking an Investment Banking Associate to join its growing Energy Infrastructure team in London. The role involves advising on M&A, capital raising and strategic advisory across energy transition assets such as renewable energy, grid infrastructure and energy services.

You'll work on live deals with senior bankers, develop financial models, and play a key part in deal execution and client development within a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Typically 3–5 years of relevant experience within investment banking, corporate finance, M&A or a related advisory environment.
• Strong transaction experience, ideally within energy, power, utilities, infrastructure or natural resources.
• Excellent financial modelling and valuation capabilities.
• Demonstrable understanding of M&A processes and financial due diligence.
• Experience analysing infrastructure or energy assets is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions across energy and infrastructure sectors.
• Build and review detailed financial models including DCF, precedent transactions and comps.
• Prepare transaction materials such as pitch books, IMs, presentations and valuation materials.
• Coordinate due diligence across financial, commercial, technical, legal and tax workstreams.
• Analyse companies, projects and portfolios in renewable energy and infrastructure markets.
• Assist clients on equity and debt capital raising with investors and lenders.
• Manage transaction workstreams and coordinate with clients, counterparties and advisers.
• Develop valuation and strategic analyses for senior management and boards.
• Review junior staff work and provide guidance on modelling and materials.
