Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) is seeking a motivated professional to support flexibility services across the business. The role focuses on procurement, market participation, and stakeholder engagement to unlock opportunities in the energy transition.

You will help monitor regulatory changes, ensure licence compliance, and contribute to shaping the next phase of flexibility strategy alongside the wider SSE group.

Qualifications

• Understanding of economic principles as foundation for market design.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel for basic data analysis and clear reporting.
• Ability to present complex concepts to diverse internal and external audiences.
• Experience building relationships with stakeholders and gathering information from various jobs.
• Enthusiasm for learning new skills and adapting as the landscape changes.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement and promotion of flexibility services to drive market participation.
• Engage with flexibility providers to grow market liquidity and expand programme reach.
• Monitor industry and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance with licence obligations.
