Job description

Job Title: Energy Engineer

Location: Ashford, TN24 0LU

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum depending on experience

Are you renowned for your hands-on energy conservation expertise, coupled with your ability to influence others? If so, this could be the next exciting opportunity for you.

As our Energy Improvement Specialist based at our key dry powder factory in Kent, you are passionate about both energy conservation and carbon management and are driven to make a real difference to our world.

In this diverse role, you will focus on:

  1. Driving the site's energy reduction roadmap to deliver our ambitious 2030 and 2040 strategic targets
  2. Ensuring compliance with energy and carbon legislation and Premier Foods standards
  3. Developing, coordinating and implementing strategies and policies (including behavioural best practices) to reduce energy consumption
  4. Leading energy related capital investment projects through all stages of the life cycle, whilst working closely with our Engineering team and external contractors
  5. Championing and delivering energy awareness programs across site to all colleagues
  6. Monitoring, recording and analysing energy data

Does this sound like you? If so, our key requirements are:

  1. Degree/equivalent in Energy Management or Engineering
  2. Specialist knowledge of the energy industry, including technical expertise in innovative/new technologies
  3. 5 years experience in a similar capacity
  4. Leadership skills with the ability to drive improvements and influence others
  5. Project Management experience highly desirable
