Job summary

Rullion is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist/Advisor to support major energy sector projects from Minster, Kent. This contract role offers an initial 3-month engagement with potential long-term opportunities and a day rate of £500-£600, outside IR35.

You will conduct risk assessments, lead incident investigations, perform audits and site inspections, and help drive EHS best practices across complex construction environments.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of experience in an EHS role.
• Strong energy sector background, with HVDC/HV projects and substations.
• Experience auditing, inspecting, and incident investigations.
• Experience implementing and managing EHS management systems.
• Excellent understanding of regulatory and legal compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and hazard identifications.
• Lead incident investigations and perform root cause analysis.
• Carry out EHS audits and site inspections for compliance.
• Support and maintain safety management systems.
• Promote environmental management practices and sustainability initiatives.
• Develop and contribute to emergency response planning.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation.
• Analyse EHS data and produce reports for continuous improvement.
