Job summary

Apatura in Edinburgh is seeking a proactive Project Manager to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams on complex energy infrastructure and data centre projects. You will drive planning, permit processes, and supplier management to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, cost control, and experience with project methodologies within energy or construction sectors. Hybrid working and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in project management, ideally within data centres, energy, infrastructure or construction.
• Familiarity with energy infrastructure development or grid connection processes is beneficial.
• An understanding of project management methodologies and best practice.
• Knowledge of the UK electricity sector (e.g. Ofgem, NESO, DNOs/TOs) is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects from early site assessment through consent and readiness for construction.
• Lead feasibility work including site selection, design, and cable routes.
• Support securing land rights and stakeholder engagement.
• Lead planning application processes and manage supporting documentation.
• Work with internal teams and external partners to deliver design and technical outputs.
• Coordinate with grid, power and connection stakeholders to support data centre delivery.
• Track progress, timelines and costs to keep projects on plan.
• Manage suppliers and consultants to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Support financial planning, forecasting and procurement activities.
• Prepare for financial close through technical due diligence and lead project meetings.
