Job summary

Talan UK and Ireland (part of the Talan Group) is seeking a Senior Data & Digital Solutions Consultant to lead design, delivery and management of data pipelines for energy advisory projects.

In this role you will collaborate with data AI, cyber security and solution architecture teams, applying your Python, SQL and analytics to shape policy and investment decisions. Hybrid working across London or Birmingham.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a data-focused analytical role within consultancy, government, think tank, industry or similar.
• Strong communication of analysis to senior figures.
• Advanced Python skills for data collection, scripting and API integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, delivery and management of data pipelines and models for low-carbon tech and policies.
• Deliver quantitative analysis across multiple criteria to assess policy options and business models.
• Coordinate with policy specialists, economists and engineers to shape client solutions.
• Manage data sources, cleaning, processing and documentation for reproducibility.
• Guide project delivery, client relationships and quality assurance across workstreams.
• Support business development by shaping propositions and proposals.
