Arup’s Energy Advisory internship in the Midlands region offers hands‑on experience on a range of energy projects, with involvement from day one on meaningful, real‑life assignments that add value for clients.

You will be integrated into project teams, learn from skilled professionals and participate in multidisciplinary collaboration, with opportunities for site visits and leadership learning sessions as project pipelines permit.

Qualifications

• Working towards a related Bachelor’s degree with a predicted 2:1 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Liaise and coordinate between clients and multidisciplinary teams to produce high‑quality conclusions and recommendations.
• Support the development of technical/commercial papers and present findings to varied audiences.
• Advise on policy, legislation and procurement options and coordinate procurement activities.
• Advise on project and programme management best practice.
• Help clients achieve bankability and timely investment decisions.
• Manage day‑to‑day project and programme activities to develop and deliver energy projects.
• Scope and coordinate multidisciplinary experts for tasks or small work packages.
• Develop and manage project control tools and data visualization capabilities.
• Keep up‑to‑date with energy sector trends to deliver excellence to clients.
• Support business development activities for future work opportunities.
• Apply software such as Power BI, MS Project, MS Excel, SharePoint, etc.
