About the Position

Orchestrade seeks to expand its Energy & Commodity Business Analyst team.

The team develops and extends trading, risk, and operations solutions to cover new business cases, traded products, and instruments in energy trading across oil, gas, power, certificates, and metals markets. It leverages expertise in commodity and energy derivatives throughout the full front-to-back chain, supporting, maintaining, evolving, and implementing commodity and energy frameworks for clients.

Job Summary:

The Business Analyst will support growth through research, development validation, and direct client interaction.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with clients to capture, review, and analyze business requirements.
• Design, plan, and draft functional specifications for scalable solutions that solve real-world business problems.
• Maintain and enhance the energy product framework within the system.
• Provide training to clients and internal teams as needed.
• Write functional and technical specifications for the development team.
• Test and validate new developments.
• Ensure high software quality for clients.

Requirements:

• MS degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Results-oriented with strong analytical and entrepreneurial problem-solving skills.
• Experience with object-oriented programming (C#); ability to read and understand functional code is mandatory. Prior development experience is a plus.
• Energetic, collaborative, and motivated to make a positive impact.
• Entrepreneurial mindset; ability to work independently or in teams with minimal supervision.
• Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail.
• Good communication and presentation skills for client interactions.
• 5+ years of experience in technology (trading systems) or energy sector (software vendor or client side) is required.
• Proven expertise in one of the following: derivatives (exchange-traded or OTC), market data management, pricing and risk methodologies, back-office processes, or electronic trading interfaces.
