Job summary

Brookfield Asset Management Inc. seeks a Capital Markets professional to join Brookfield Renewable’s European financing team. The role focuses on originating and executing financings for M&A and assets, reporting to the Senior VP Capital Markets & Treasury.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in project/corporate finance, investment banking (debt advisory or capital markets) or similar roles
• Experience in executing project financings, acquisition financings and corporate financings
• Transactional experience, including familiarity with loan documentation and loan closing
• Ability to travel when required (lender presentations, management meetings and site visits)
• Experience in European power & utilities would be an asset
• Recognized professional designation (CFA, CPA) would be an asset

Responsibilities

• Assist in executing project financings, acquisition financings, corporate financings with lenders and advisors
• Assist in developing and negotiating term sheets, credit agreements and other finance documents
• Assist in developing financing strategies for presentation to senior management
• Assist in obtaining and managing credit ratings
• Support capital structuring and underwriting of M&A targets and development opportunities
• Support the preparation of financing objectives and targets for business plans
• Support strategy development in key growth areas
• Contribute to a flexible, dynamic, and team‑oriented working culture that fosters personal development and a positive attitude.
