Job description

We are seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to spearhead growth across key areas of the energy market, with a strong focus on grid infrastructure, flexibility services, and energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the identification and development of new business opportunities within power networks, energy, and related services.

Build and nurture high-value relationships with utility providers, developers, and key market participants.

Oversee the end-to-end sales cycle—from initial engagement and qualification through to successful contract execution.

Collaborate closely with technical and commercial teams to craft tailored proposals that align with client needs.

Work alongside the Managing Director to help shape and deliver ambitious sector growth plans.

Develop and execute go-to-market strategies aimed at increasing the company’s visibility and impact in the energy space.

Act as a key company representative at trade shows, industry conferences, and client meetings.

Profile:

Strong background in business development or sales within the energy or power systems landscape.

Proven ability to source, structure, and close commercial agreements.

Well-connected across the energy ecosystem, with an established network of contacts.

Insightful understanding of the evolving energy transition, including regulatory frameworks and emerging technologies.

Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and decision-makers.

Highly proactive and capable of working independently, including travel across the UK as required.
