Job Description:

We are seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to spearhead growth across key areas of the energy market, with a strong focus on grid infrastructure, flexibility services, and energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the identification and development of new business opportunities within power networks, energy, and related services.
  • Build and nurture high-value relationships with utility providers, developers, and key market participants.
  • Oversee the end-to-end sales cycle—from initial engagement and qualification through to successful contract execution.
  • Collaborate closely with technical and commercial teams to craft tailored proposals that align with client needs.
  • Work alongside the Managing Director to help shape and deliver ambitious sector growth plans.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies aimed at increasing the company’s visibility and impact in the energy space.
  • Act as a key company representative at trade shows, industry conferences, and client meetings.

Profile:

  • Strong background in business development or sales within the energy or power systems landscape.
  • Proven ability to source, structure, and close commercial agreements.
  • Well-connected across the energy ecosystem, with an established network of contacts.
  • Insightful understanding of the evolving energy transition, including regulatory frameworks and emerging technologies.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Highly proactive and capable of working independently, including travel across the UK as required.
