Dartford & Gravesham NHS Trust seeks a passionate leader to manage sustainability and energy initiatives. This newly created role involves overseeing the Green Plan and Energy Strategy while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in environmental management and will work closely with various stakeholders to drive improvements across the Trust.

This is a new and exciting role created for the Trust and an excellent opportunity for an inspirational and passionate individual with a strong track record in Environmental, Sustainability and Energy management to oversee the development and implementation of our Green Plan, Energy Strategy and NetZero commitments.
This role involves managing energy contracts, providing expert advice on sustainability initiatives and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. You will collaborate with senior managers and engage with external stakeholders to drive sustainability improvements across the Trust.
This position will not be supported for visa sponsorship. All applicants are expected to have valid right to work document to work in the UK when applying for this position.
This role is diverse and acts as the Trust expert in areas such as environmental compliance, waste compliance, management of utilities and sustainability.
This role will provide guidance and advice to Trust members to ensure the Trust is compliant with legislation/NHS directives and will drive the Green Committee and Champions to deliver the Trust Green Plan within the timescales agreed.
As the Trust expert, there will be significant liaison and input with external bodies such as the HCP, ICB, NHSe etc as well as other Trusts and external providers.
