Job summary

Applied Computing in the energy sector seeks a recent graduate to join our Project Management team as a Business Analyst. You’ll help ensure our delivery of Orbital to customers across oil & gas, refining, and petrochemicals stays well-organised and data-driven.

Work closely with Project Managers, Engineering, and Customer teams to track performance, surface insights, and support faster, better-informed decisions as we scale.

Qualifications

• Quantitative degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong data-driven mindset with ability to turn data into insights.
• Proficiency in SQL and spreadsheets; basic Python is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in tracking timelines, budgets, resources and deliverables across deployments.
• Build dashboards and reports for leadership to monitor project health.
• Analyze project data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Gather requirements from internal and customer stakeholders for planning.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Data Science and Customer Success to translate needs into plans.
• Help refine internal processes, templates, and tools as the team scales.
• Prepare data-driven summaries for internal reviews and customer updates.
• Spot opportunities to automate recurring analysis and reporting tasks.
