Working within the Energetics and Materials Team, you will be responsible for researching, developing, qualifying, and manufacturing materials and products to meet demanding physical, chemical, thermal, mechanical, and ballistic requirements under extreme conditions of temperature, pressure, and vibration.

Given the specialized nature of the role, candidates will attend training courses and conferences to develop their expertise, alongside on-the-job training to build necessary skills and competencies.

Technical Responsibilities - Energetics Chemist

• Developing and monitoring propellants to meet energy, mechanical, and ballistic requirements
• Improving, optimizing, and standardizing manufacturing processes
• Qualifying propellants and materials according to defense and internal standards
• Managing materials (stocks, quality, performance, legislation) to meet strict design requirements
• Supporting and improving manufacturing processes
• Qualifying ingredients and finished materials for manufacturing
• Researching and testing materials using known and novel processing methods, including mixing technology

Requirements:

• Degree in Chemistry
• Strong interest and aptitude in chemistry/material science with high motivation
• Significant practical experience in a disciplined/technical manufacturing, process, or laboratory environment
