Pasture Cardiff is seeking a passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our high-energy kitchen team. You will support the Head Chef, lead services and help drive live-fire cooking with seasonal, local produce in a vibrant dining setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in fresh food kitchens, ideally at Chef de Partie or Junior Sous level.
• Strong leadership, ability to manage service and brigade.
• Understanding of seasonal ingredients and menu development.
• Organised, communicative and calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Supporting Head Chef and Sous Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations.
• Leading services to ensure high-quality food delivery.
• Running the pass with confidence and attention to detail.
• Helping to create and refine seasonal dishes with local produce.
• Maintaining food safety, hygiene and kitchen organisation.
• Assisting with stock control, ordering and waste management.
• Training junior chefs and new starters; promoting teamwork.
