Job summary

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking an IT professional to join the Digital Desktop team. The role focuses on supporting iOS and Windows 11 devices, managing incidents, and ensuring reliable service delivery.

  • Educated to degree level and / or relevant experience in specialty
  • Relevant IT Qualification

  • Obtained or working towards relevant professional qualification

Experience and Knowledge
Essential criteria
  • Experience and understanding of ITIL working practice
  • Experience working in a busy Digital Desktop environment
  • Experience in managing multiple 'active' incidents / service requests
  • Experience of testing newly developed software and reporting problems / issues
  • Experience in problem solving in a mixed computing environment including desktops, laptops, mobile phones, iPads, MECM/SCCM
  • Configuration and maintenance of Desktop related systems i.e. Sophos, WorkspaceOne, SNOW, MECM/SCCM
  • Experience of working in a busy / complex service delivery function
  • Influencing the application of Digital to working practices
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to diplomatically deal with users of a mixed IT ability
  • Flexible attitude to the prioritisation of workload (to support the dynamic nature of the service)
  • Multi-tasking ability required
  • Ability to think creatively, applying results of external research and best practice

  • Experience of working in an NHS organisation
