Job description

A vacancy in our JAG Accredited decontamination unit has arisen to cover the previous post holder change of role.

Full training and support will be given to enable you to become part of our Endoscopy team.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work as part of our Decontamination Team principally responsible for the disinfecting and maintenance of endoscopes ensuring the processes of safe decontamination are carried out to the highest standards of infection control, maintaining the patient flow through the unit.

The post holder will be expected to work across site within the decontamination teams as required on a seven day roster.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
  • Secondary Education
  • NVQ Level 1 or 2
EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in flexible endoscope decontamination & working within a recognised quality system
  • Evidence of working in a busy environment
  • Knowledge of decontam-ination/reprocessing technology
  • Previous experience in a health care setting
SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with multi-disciplinary team.
