Job summary

A healthcare organization is seeking a dependable Receptionist for the Endoscopy Unit in Tees Valley.   • General office duties including opening post and maintaining stock.
Job description
Overview

We are looking for conscientious and dependable people to join our Endoscopy Reception team. This role plays a vital part in welcoming patients onto the Endoscopy Unit when attending for their procedure. Patients are often very anxious, so it is important to be calm, organised and supportive for a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities
  • Reception duties that include arriving and discharging patients onto the Endoscopy Unit.
  • Ensure that all work outputs are completed to a high standard of quality and that patient waiting times and pathway targets and timescales are met.
  • Effective communication with multi-disciplined medical and surgical teams.
  • Adhere to all Trust and Endoscopy specific policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure all appropriate technologies and equipment are utilised to optimum functionality.
  • Effectively liaise with staff from other services as well as external service users including GP’s, patients and their representatives in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Support the updating and maintaining of standard operating procedures.
  • Organise interpreters following appropriate trust policies, systems and processes.
  • General office duties including opening and distributing post, housekeeping, filing, photocopying and maintaining stock of routine supplies.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Endoscopy patient pathways; ability to deliver all reception duties following appropriate training.
Location and cross-site

This is a cross site post between the North Tees and the Hartlepool sites.
