Job summary

The Priory Hospital in Birmingham is seeking an Endoscopy Practitioner to join the Endoscopy department. This is a full-time, 37.5 hours per week role with a salary up to £41,000 depending on experience, training and qualifications.

You will work in a leading private healthcare provider, delivering high standards of patient care within a supportive team and flexible shift patterns.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with NMC or HCPC.
• Competence in endoscopy care and decontamination.
• Endoscopy decontamination course completed.
• Teaching, assessing or mentoring qualifications are a plus.
• Knowledge of external bodies such as CQC, GRS, JAG and HTM 01-06.

Responsibilities

• Support the team to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Demonstrate compassion, empathy, respect and dignity in patient interactions.
• Develop competence to deliver effective care and treatments.
• Communicate effectively with all care team members.
• Act as safeguarding advocate and speak up when concerns arise.
• Contribute to improving patient care and experience.

Salary: Up to £41,000.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

The Priory Hospital in Birmingham is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Endoscopy Practitioner to join their team of staff in the Endoscopy department.

This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Support the team to deliver care that helps improve the health of the individual and wider community.
• Support the team in demonstrating compassion through effective relationships based on empathy, respect and dignity.
• Develop own competence to deliver effective care and treatments through improving clinical/technical knowledge / skill, and expertise.
• Communicate appropriately with others involved in the care of the patient.
• Act as an advocate for safeguarding patients; demonstrate courage to speak up when there are concerns about care.
• Demonstrate commitment to improving care and the patient experience.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
• Basic and advanced Competence / qualification in Endoscopy Care and Decontamination.
• Operators Course in Endoscopy Decontamination.
• Teaching / Assessing / mentorship qualifications Knowledge of appropriate standards and external bodies (Care Quality Commission, GRS, JAG, HTM 01 -06).
• ILS.
