A private healthcare organization is seeking an Endoscopy Practitioner for a 12-month Fixed Term Contract in Warrington. Spire Cheshire are looking for an experienced Endoscopy Practitioner to join our independent Endoscopy department on a full time basis of 37.5hrs per week. This is a 12 month fixed term contract covering maternity leave.

Duties and responsibilities

Working within a highly supportive team as an Endoscopy practitioner at Spire Cheshire hospital you will be responsible for providing excellent patient care.

  • You will be responsible for doing pre-assessments, admitting patients into the endoscopy unit, assisting the consultants and discharging patients from the unit.
  • You will participate in all general endoscopy procedures.
  • Prepare an Endoscopy procedure room for endoscopy in relation to instrumentation, equipment and supplies required for specific procedures, ensuring waste is kept to a minimum
  • Ensure all necessary and emergency equipment is available and in working order
  • Run a procedure list without supervision and supervise / mentor junior staff.

Who we're looking for;

  • NMC / HCPC registered with no restriction on practice
  • A minimum of 12 months experience of working in Endoscopy is essential.
  • Knowledge of JAG accreditation
  • IT literate and a competent user of the MS Office suite of products
  • Strong team player
  • Flexible approach to work and working patterns

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract
