Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Staff Nurse in the Endoscopy Department at Inverclyde Royal Hospital. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, patient-centred nursing care across admission, recovery and discharge stages.

Responsibilities include assessing needs, planning care, maintaining records, supervising staff, and contributing to service improvement while upholding professional standards and safety.

Qualifications

• Registered Adult Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Experience in Endoscopy or Day Surgery desirable.
• Knowledge of person-centred care principles and evidence-based practice.
• Ability to supervise and develop registered and non-registered staff.
• Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team.
• Competent in maintaining electronic and written patient records.
• Understanding of Health & Safety, Data Protection and confidentiality.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and service improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate person-centred care and maintain records.
• Supervise and support registered and non-registered staff; lead nursing teams.
• Support recruitment, resource management and service improvement activities.
• Ensure safe environment for patients, visitors and colleagues.
