Main duties of the job

As a Healthcare Support Worker in our Portsmouth Endoscopy team, you'll assist the nursing team with patient care, administration, stock control, and equipment maintenance. You'll work as part of a team to maintain the supply of decontaminated endoscopes and nasoendoscopes for the Endoscopy department and Outpatient Department, which is essential for patient safety.

Above all, you have a natural ability to help make the lives of others more fulfilling and want to work in an environment where the work can be hard, but also fun and rewarding.

Having already achieved your NVQ level 2, there will be plenty of further learning opportunities, including internal and external training modules. It would be an advantage if you have worked in a hospital before. More important is your flexibility, knowledge of infection control, belief in teamwork, and your ability to use your initiative, follow instructions, and prioritize a busy workload.
