NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is recruiting for a Permanent Technician to join the Endoscopy Decontamination Unit at Inverclyde Royal Hospital, Greenock. This Band 3 role requires experience in a decontamination setting and working across EDU equipment to ensure high safety and quality standards.

The post involves inspecting, cleaning and processing flexible endoscopes, operating AERs and related equipment, and maintaining comprehensive documentation.

Formación

• Experienced in a decontamination setting.
• Previous decontamination in CDU or EDU experience is essential.
• Willingness to undertake up to one year of training in all aspects of EDU equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect, clean and process flexible endoscopes to national standards.
• Operate AERs, washer-disinfectors and drying cabinets safely.
• Maintain traceability and complete documentation accurately.
• Carry out daily operator tests per HTM 2030 requirements.
• Comply with NHS policies to maintain a safe working environment.
