Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is hiring an Endoscopy Decontamination Assistant (Band 2) to join the Queens Day Unit at Bristol Royal Infirmary. The role is full time, 37.5 hours per week, standard hours Monday to Friday, 08:00–18:00, and offers a pro rata salary in the NHS Band 2 scale.

The post supports decontamination processes, handling endoscopes and reusable devices, while ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to SOPs and quality systems.

Qualifications

• GCSEs level A-C or equivalent in 3 core subjects.
• Experience in Decontamination or a comparable environment is desirable.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive, disassemble, clean, disinfect and store endoscopes in controlled environments.
• Maintain comprehensive task records for traceability and quality systems.
• Support the Decontamination Lead and the team in daily duties and UK NHS policies.
