Job summary

The Endoscopy Unit at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd is recruiting a Decontamination Technician (Band 2). The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient decontamination of flexible endoscopes, including collection, receipt, disassembly, cleaning, disinfection, reassembly, packing and delivery within the Endoscopy Unit and other services.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Establish good working relationships with the multi-disciplinary team.
• Maintain a clean environment throughout the Gastroenterology Unit.
• Ensure endoscopy equipment is decontaminated in line with national, local and manufacturer guidelines; report faults immediately.
• Adhere to Health & Safety measures at all times.
