Job summary

Practice Plus Group is seeking a Bank Healthcare Assistant to join the Endoscopy team in the UK. You will support patients before, during and after procedures, ensuring they are comfortable, informed and supported throughout their care journey.

This bank (0-hour) contract offers flexible shifts, a supportive multidisciplinary team and a focus on delivering high-quality patient experiences in a specialist service.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Professional telephone manner.
• Experience in hospital/healthcare environment desirable.
• Availability to work at short notice desirable.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming and supporting patients attending the Endoscopy department.
• Assisting patients with personal care and maintaining comfort and dignity.
• Recording observations including blood pressure, pulse, temperature and weight.
• Undertaking urine testing and reporting concerns to registered nursing staff.
• Supporting patients with nutrition, hydration and mobility requirements.
• Assisting with patient positioning and moving and handling activities.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming clinical environment.
• Supporting stock management and ordering processes.
• Preparing patient documentation and supporting administrative processes.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality patient care.
