Job description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated End User Specialist (Digital Systems - Deployment) who has the enthusiasm and ability to work in a challenging but rewarding Technology Services Department as part of Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

You will work within the End User Services Team, which sits within ICT Operations as part of the wider Technology Services function. End User Services provides a range of services to the Trust, including deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of end user device operating systems and applications, as well as management of cloud-hosted solutions.

The End User Specialist is a technical role within End User Services, responsible for tasks that ensure operational continuity and future development of the Trust's user device estate within the Digital Systems Deployment specialism.

As part of the wider Technology Services team, the End User Specialist will collaborate with other teams such as Digital Systems, Infrastructure, Information Security and Compliance, Clinical Applications, Software Development, Solutions Architecture, and Service Management.

Key responsibilities include assisting the End User Services Manager in maintaining operating system images, software packaging, and deployment management in line with Trust, industry, and national standards, referencing ITIL service management processes.

With guidance from the End User Services Manager, lead the management and configuration of deployment tools such as Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Intune.

Coordinate and complete upgrade and maintenance activities, including patching, upgrades, and hotfix deployment, according to scheduled plans and processes.

Assist in resolving Service Desk calls and diagnosing underlying problems in accordance with SLAs or OLAs.

The department provides out-of-hours support; the Senior End User Specialist (Digital Systems) must be willing to participate in an out-of-hours roster if requested.
