Job summary

The Compleat Food Group in Nottingham is seeking a Payroll Officer to join our HR team. You will be responsible for accurate and timely end-to-end weekly and monthly payrolls, validating time and attendance data from UKG and importing payroll information into ADP, while supporting the payroll function.

We value meticulousness, confidentiality and strong attention to detail, with practical experience of UK payroll systems and a commitment to compliance with PAYE and statutory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience handling weekly and monthly payroll processing.
• Knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance, tax codes, statutory payments.
• Experience using ADP and UKG payroll/time-and-attendance systems.
• Ability to ensure accuracy and data integrity in payroll processes.
• Strong communication and confidentiality when handling employee pay data.

Responsibilities

• Administer weekly and monthly payroll processing from inputs through to finalisation, meeting all deadlines.
• Validate time and attendance data in UKG; investigate anomalies before importing into ADP.
• Process payroll changes (starters, leavers, contractual changes, absences, overtime, bonuses, deductions, pension).
• Perform payroll checks, validations and reconciliations to ensure accurate payments.
• Prepare and review payroll reports, flag discrepancies or risks to Payroll Manager.
