Overview: Independent end-point assessor for Supply Chain Warehouse Operative (Level 2) End Point Assessments.

Role Summary:

The independent EPA ensures apprentices meet employer standards and are assessed consistently across locations. IEAs must be impartial, with no conflicts of interest, and will conduct assessments onsite, recording outcomes and providing justifications. They will be trained, qualified, and approved to operate as IEAs, assessing in line with Pearson's assessment plan and materials.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Participate in training and standardisation activities
  • Maintain evidence of CPD
  • Assess candidates according to published criteria
  • Follow Pearson’s protocols and quality assurance procedures
  • Respond to EPA planning and operational activities
  • Report risks, issues, and suspected malpractice
  • Ensure high-quality EPA reports and evidence
  • Support Pearson with appeals and conflicts of interest
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and external QA activities
Person Specification:
Occupational Profile:

Warehouse Operatives work in various environments, handling deliveries, stock, equipment, and communication. They must meet customer expectations, use industry systems, and work flexibly, including shifts.

Background and Experience (Essential):
  • Occupationally competent
  • Industry qualification at Level 3 or above
  • Relevant professional warehousing experience
  • Experience leading meetings/discussions
  • Knowledge of quality assurance/regulatory requirements
  • Commitment to CPD and recent occupational experience
Background and Experience (Desirable):
  • Internal QA qualification or working towards it
  • Experience making grading judgments
  • Knowledge of safeguarding
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Technical knowledge of health and safety, industry processes, legal frameworks, and equipment
  • In-depth knowledge of apprenticeship standards and assessment tools
  • Ability to assess impartially and report risks
  • Ability to meet deadlines
